DID THAT NIGHT REALLY HAPPEN?????

Tyler Kepner and Michael S. Schmidt, of The New York Times, give a very comprehensive analogy, of how A-rod rose last night, and delivered, as we knew he could…

Oh Boy what a game, I’m still needing to be pinched to make sure it’s all real… OK it’s not the playoffs, but last night sure as heck felt like it..

There was a mystique that enthralled the encapsulated throng, that turned up on a warm clammy evening, down River Ave. There was a sense of expectancy among the people, who deep down knew the previous evenings demoralizing defeat at the hands of the arch enemy, was nothing more than a big Oops…..

Then the big guy, who saves himself for the big stage, launched one into orbit… Bo***x, we cried, here we go again.. and before we knew it, it was 3.. We were getting "deja vu all over again".. then the MVP started the rally. The boy Jason aimed one towards the statue of liberty, and the voice boxes were getting strained..

Following A-Rods and Jorge’s blasts, it was carnival atmosphere.. Relief ascended into the dark, New York, night sky… Songs and chants of various types, echoed around the hallowed arena.. It was a magical, wonderful, awesome feeling. One like you haven’t felt, since receiving something precious as a child from a grandparent..

And it was only a regular season game  !!!!!!!!!!! No it was more than that…

RIVER AVE. and 161st………HERE I COME

I am off to watch the Yankees beat the Blue Jays.  Its a guaranteed win for two reasons. 1. Randy Johnson has a far superior game day record than night game record. 2. For some unknown reason the Yankees are unbeatable during the day. For the second game running Jorge Posada is scheduled to catch for the big unit. He pinched hit and caught in the latter innings last night but that should be an undo worry as Posada who generally does not start a day game after a night game, should be well able to handle the rigors of everyday play in April.

Thanks to everybody so far who have taken the time to vote in the MVP pole and those who bothered to leave comments regarding their picks. Hopefully more will vote and comment in the days and weeks to come. The pole is hear to stay! Don’t forget to vote in the all star ballot.  I shall be posting my selection in the days to come.

Lets go Yankees! I will talk to you all later!
