Oh Robinson Crusoe, you are the man, 6-5, 2 out, here’s Bernie.
Ah well. Big K for Bernie, 2 innings left..
Ah ballbag…. That as they say is that.. another frustrating loss..
Mooooooooooooooooooooooooooose tomorrow
WELL THERE GOES THE STREAK
17-17 is now 17-18.. A late phone call from Margarets friend, Abbe, with a spare ticket, got me to the Stadium tonight. It was looking so promising early on with 3 solo shots, most notably by Mr. Yankee, Bernie Williams. But a win it was not meant to be..
Again, You Red Sox fans out there, who I like and have great respect for, were once again let down, by brain dead thicks and mongoloids. it’s one thing going to an oppositions field and cheering your team, it’s another, again going bear-chested screaming YANKEES ****, in Yankee stadium and throwing beer over Yankee fans..
Were these idiots only let out for the day from an asylum????
1. They got pounded, and removed by the police
2. What a waste of expensive beer..
Kudos to Schilling. Pitched a heck of a game.
P.S. Cyn, Arielle and Peter…. all your moaning about Mo coming in on Monday, with an 8 run lead? Mr Papelbon came in tonight with a 6 run lead.. Hmmmmmmm, Maybe Donald Pleasance (Francona) has the same idea as Torre. Give the closer a run when he’s rusty..
Folks don’t miss out on my World Cup Blog…
TORRENTIAL RAIN IN NEW YORK.
Folks, if tonights game goes ahead, it will be nothing more than a minor miracle. The rain here has not abated in at least 48hrs, and it will be treacherous to both teams. In the name of safety it should be called. Full credit to the authorities for calling yesterdays game 3 hours before 1st pitch.. Will they do it today??? Watch this space…

Now that the dust has settled, time to reflect on last nights proceedings. A couple of points spring to mind,
1: All that was won last night was a 9 inning game of Baseball. No divisional crowns or rings. Yes, I know people will say this is no ordinary match up, True, last season in particular came down to the last series between both sides. Whilst I’m not certain who Boston finish up with (Baltimore, I think), The Yankees end up at home to Toronto. The Jays are for real this season, but that is a whole different post for later. So of the 19 games this season between Yanks/Sox, it will probably go 10-9 in either way, hence, all we succeed to do, is cancel each other out. So while it was only a 9 inning win, it was important, as is every single game of the season. If we fail by 1 game this season to advance, I would blame, at this moment, the blown lead against the Tigers, as it was a game that was home and hosed. That thought may change as the season unfolds.
2. Now, I know we, as in every single one of us, are entitled to our opinions. So belittling other people on their own blogs is out of order. Should, say a Cubs fan say he hated everything that was white Sox on his/her own blog, they have every right to do so, but to go on the others blog and say so, is pedantic and childish. Even if the argument is totally ridiculous and silly, it’s still their right to say so on their own blog. Nit-picking, if that’s what they want to do on their own blog, to vent frustration, makes some people happy. Let them at it, its their right to do so. So people, those of you who read my blog alongside Cyn’s, shame on those of you who tried to trash her last night. I fell into the trap of sledging but realized I was just downright stupid. I apologized and moved on, Cyn, I apologize again.
And so to tonight. According to a few TV pundits, this is the game the Sox were prepared to write off. Not anymore me thinks after getting walloped last night. Their reasoning was Pauley, the pitcher, is not up to scratch. I really can’t comment on him as I haven’t seen him pitch. Somehow I have a feeling the Sox will win tonight..
Weird predictions for tonight:
1: Score to be tied 6-6 in the 6th.
2: Jason (Varitek or Giambi) to hit winning home run in 9th (inverted 6).
3: Someone will plummet from the balcony.
4: I’ll be committed if any of them come through..
Enjoy the game folks.
THIS IS NOT REALLY HAPPENING, IS IT???
Holy Mother of Jaysus 13-2 in the 3rd….. I really don’t know what to say.. Apart from, the Sox fans, who generally are nice, decent, baseball officianados, are now resorting to pedantic insults, that belong in the playground at break-time.. It’s 1 game folks that is still in the 3rd innings.. Anything can happen, and probably will. In fact, I wouldn’t rule out a skirmish, not that I advocate such despicable behaviour in a sports event. No-one is going to win any divisional crowns tonight, so just take it on the chin, if this is the way its going to stay, and move on to tomorrow. Should the Sox come back, I’m always here to take the flak.. I’ll deserve it..
