Manny being Manny and Melky being ......just feckin superb. Words can't describe it. What a catch.. Oh my God..

Lights out... What an excellent game of baseball.. 2-1 Yankees.. Pauley did not deserve to lose tonight. He is one bright star for the Sox...

Mad Dog, couldn’t agree more with you about Pauley. I was waiting for the bats to get hot but Pauley made the right pitches at the right time. How about Wang! Dude was great tonight. I hope his pitching performance does not get forgotten between Pauley’s solid start and Melky’s incredible catch. Question for you, If Matsui were fully recovered from his broken wrist by September 1 and Melky was still playing like his is now who would you rather see in left? This is assuming Shef is back to swinging like a drunk lumber-jack at fastballs (that a good thing). I lean towards getting Matsui back on the field (NOT DH’ing HIM) and using Melky as a proven bench player / DH. What about you?

Melky earned his stripes tonight! Yeah baby.

I know you didn't ask me yankeefan but you have to have Matsui in the lineup. If Melky continues to play like he has in LF, I would play himin LF and let Matsui DH. That way Matsui doesn't do anything to aggravate the wrist injury. Even though he's done decent of late, let Bernie be the proven bench player.

Ihave to agree with J on this one. I think Sheff may have cooked his last meal in right also, with Bubba due back soon aswell. Hideki is a vital cog to our wheel so Yeah I'd DH him to start with.
Good point about Wang. His solid performance sadly will be overshadowed by Pauley and Melky.

P.S. if you can lob on the Giants Marlins game. It is by far and away the most entertaining sports broadcast any where. The commentators are a riot, just enjoying their evening at the ballpark

I think DHing Matsui would be the better idea, with the occasional fill in for Melky. At least for the remainder of this year whenever Matsui gets healthy. I'm not so sure about sitting Sheffield down, though. Sheffield in right, occasionally relieved by Bubba. Bubba and Bernie on the bench, Bernie can step in for Damon whenever he needs a day or half day off.

Yankee Honor becomes you, sir, as you praise Pauley describing him as undeserving of the loss. Too bad Varitek fails to inspire such goodwill in me tonight (Th-Game 3 of series), deserving as he surely must be of congratulations.
